MIAMI, March 5 (UPI) -- A Miami judge said Tuesday that media outlets could have access to additional videos of Justin Bieber's brief jail stint, though the police department would have to sensor footage of the singer's genitals during his urine test.
Bieber's lawyers had argued that the media' right to access public information did not outweigh his right to privacy. They did not want authorities to release any of the footage.
Miami-Dade County Judge William Altfield agreed that Bieber had a right to privacy, but said the public also had a right to access information about his arrest
"Mr. Bieber's right to privacy is paramount," Altfied said. "He has not lost his right to privacy, and that is what is important here."
"The court finds that images of the defendant while in custody at the Miami Beach Police Department are relevant to the public's right to know," Altfield said.
The 20-year-old singer was arrested in Miami last January when police said they caught him speeding, driving with a suspended license and driving under the influence. Though Bieber had a small amount of alcohol in his system, he tested positive for Xanax and marijuana.
He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
