LOS ANGELES, March 4 (UPI) -- Rob Ford made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and got predictably roasted by the late-night comedian over his series of embarrassing antics.

Kimmel started out by mentioning Ford's less-than-presentable public appearances with constituents in a series of photographs, and then touched on the Toronto mayor's alcoholism.

"Listen, if you're drinking enough that you can try crack in your forties and you don't remember it, maybe that's something that you might want to think about, like, talking to someone about," said Kimmel.

"I wasn't elected to be perfect, Jimmy," said Ford. "I was elected to clean up the mess I inherited, which is what I have done."
