HOLLYWOOD, March 4 (UPI) -- Edgar, the Russian pizza delivery guy who fed hungry celebrities during the 86th annual Academy Awards on Sunday, stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show Wednesday to get his tip.

As Edgar told the story about how he came to be at the Oscars main stage -- in a nut shell, it was not part of the plan, and he was "shocked" -- host Ellen DeGeneres finally gave him the tip she famously collected when she passed around Pharell's hat.

DeGeneres said she found $600 in the hat and decided to give him $400 more so he could get to $1,000.

As for Edgar's favorite part of serving at the Oscars? He said meeting Julia Roberts had beed like finally meeting "the woman of his dreams."

"I was always watching her movies back in Moscow," he said. "So yea, it was something crazy to me to just deliver pizza to her."

DeGeneres later explained that Edgar and his brother came from Russia and worked passing flyers in front of Big Mama's & Papa's -- the local pizzeria that delivered pies to the Oscars. The two later got a job at the restaurant and worked their guy up to owning the place. The brothers have been so successful that they're planning to open another branch in Silver Lake. The host added that the new joint will be the official pizzeria of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
