NEW YORK, March 4 (UPI) -- Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted on Monday with a large diamond ring on her finger, days after rumors of her possible engagement to Olivier Sarkozy began to buzz.
The 27-year-old star sported a huge gold and diamond ring on her left ring finger when she stepped out with twin sister Ashley in New York. The ring has a thick gold band made up of three different strands, and features an enormous diamond surrounded by more gold detail.
While Mary-Kate and Sarkozy have yet to confirm the speculation, rumors of the pair's engagement have been flying since a source told Us Magazine last week that the two have decided to tie the knot. Sources have told Us that Mary-Kate thinks Sarkozy is "a great dad" to his two children and that her family "thinks Olivier is the best thing to happen to her."
Mary-Kate and Sarkozy began dating in May of 2012. The couple is known for their frequent PDA as well as their significant age gap. At 44, Sarkozy, the half-brother of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, is 17 years older than Mary-Kate.
Sources first told E! News in December that the two were considering marriage and that Olsen was "crazy for Olivier." See a picture of the ring in question here.
