VIENNA, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Kim Kardashian cut her "date" short at the Vienna Ball on Thursday night after suffering two shocking, racially-charged insults during the party.

The Vienna Ball is an annual affair considered the most elite event during Vienna's carnival season. The gala, which first took place in 1935, is held in the auditorium of the Vienna State Opera.

Kardashian attended the party as Austrian businessman Richard Lugner's "date." Lugner, 81, is well-known for hosting celebrity arm candy at the event, and paid Kardashian $500,000 to appear as his guest. Previous guests of Lugner's include Geri Halliwell of the Spice Girls and Pamela Anderson.

The first incident occurred at the ball when a man working the event came up to Kardashian in blackface and pretended to be fiancé Kanye West. She walked away from the man, but did not immediately leave the event.

Shortly afterward, a different man came up to the star and asked her to dance. After Kardashian responded that she wasn't a good dancer, the man said he would dance with her if the orchestra played "[Expletive] in Vienna," a reference to Kanye's song "Niggas in Paris."

Kardashian left the party early after the second incident. She has also said that Lugner acted aggressively toward her, grabbing her and imploring her to lose her security in an attempt to be alone with the star.

Lugner reportedly told local press earlier that day that, "Kim is annoying me" by "not sticking to the program." He said that Kardashian is "filming and so she doesn't want to have me around," and angrily asserted that, "The guest should be with me and not anywhere else that is not agreed upon."

Sources say that Kardashian's film crew for Keeping Up for the Kardashians caught both incidents and a lot of Lugner's behavior on video.
