SANTA MONICA, Calif., Feb. 26 (UPI) -- A Santa Monica jury has determined that Lisa Kudrow must pay her former manager $1.6 million in commission fees.

The verdict comes days after the 50-year-old Friends star took the stand in her case against Scott Howard, who sued her back in 2008, claiming the actress owed him money in fees from her days on the NBC hit sitcom.

According to Inside Edition, the jury voted 10 to two in favor of Howard.

“When the case was over I went straight to Lisa Kudrow and apologized for the verdict," said juror Steven Debode one of the two who opposed the verdict. "I think it is wrong.”

On the first day of the trial Howard said he had made an oral agreement with the actress that granted him 10 percent of Kudrow's income while he was her manager. He added that after they stopped working together she refused to pay him more than $50,000 in fees from her earnings from several projects.

“I feel gratified and it was our agreement. I live up to my agreement and I expect others to as well," Howard said of the verdict.

Kudrow's lawyers claim the actress plans on appealing the verdict.
