Biden, making his appearance on Meyers' first show, decided to explain his amusing and viral facial expressions during the State of the Union. His most expressive face, when he smiled and pointed to someone while the president was speaking, wasn't just the vice president trying to charm the crowd with a hundred-watt smile.
"As we were walking over a senior Senator said, 'Joe, I know you and Barack are friends but don't stand up at every damn thing he says, okay?' And I said, 'Alright,' and then I counted. Seventeen times this particular Senator stood up for the president. So I went like this to point to him. Talk about a suck up."
Some are disappointed that Biden was calling out a senator rather than trying to charm America. Late Night also featured segments with comedian Amy Poehler putting the moves on the vice president and Meyers writing a letter to Jimmy Fallon, the former host of Late Night and current host of The Tonight Show.
