'Bronx Bombers,' with Peter Scolari as Yogi Berra, to close March 2

NEW YORK, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- "Bronx Bombers," starring Peter Scolari as Yankees icon Yogi Berra, is to play its final Broadway performance March 2, producers said Thursday.

Written and directed by Eric Simonson, the production opened Feb 6 at Circle in the Square Theatre in Manhattan.

The cast also features Francois Battiste, Chris Henry Coffey, Bill Dawes, Christopher Jackson, Keith Nobbs, Tracy Shayne, John Wernke and C.J. Wilson.

"Ruth. Berra. Mantle. DiMaggio. Gehrig. Jeter. The New York Yankees on Broadway. A night you'll never forget," a synopsis said.
