Home belonging to ex-Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley catches fire

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y., Dec. 15 (UPI) -- The Yorktown Heights, N.Y., home belonging to former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley suffered damage in a fire, officials said.

Firefighters were called to Frehley's home at about 11 a.m. Saturday after smoke was seen coming from the building, the Journal News, White Plains, N.Y., reported.

"We got to the scene and found heavy smoke showing from the roof line of the building," Yorktown Heights Fire Chief Chet Swirski said.

The fire was mostly contained to the second floor, Swirski said.

No one was home when the fire broke out, but a man who lives at the residence returned to the scene as firefighters battled the blaze, Swirski said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Records show that Frehley is the owner of the house, but he apparently does not live there, the Journal News said.
