NEW YORK, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Right-wing radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh says "there's no politics" in his first children's book, about modern day Paul Revere's take on U.S. history.

The book, "Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims: Time-Travel Adventures with Exceptional Americans," will be published Oct. 29, NBC News reported Friday.

The book features a character named Rush Revere, a modern-day substitute teacher who travels throughout time with two students to meet the Pilgrims aboard the Mayflower, NBC News said.

"It's just the truthful history of the Pilgrims, who they were, where they came from, why they came here, what happened when they got here," he said. "The true story of Thanksgiving. There's no politics in this."

Limbaugh said he was inspired to write the book because he believes children aren't "learning about the greatness of America."

"I lament what's going on in schools all the time," he said. "But this is my way of doing more than what I'm doing now. It is a way of teaching what isn't being taught."
