LONDON, June 19 (UPI) -- David Wall of Britain's Royal Ballet has died of cancer at his family home in London, the BBC reported. He was 67.
The type of cancer that ended his life Tuesday was not disclosed.
Wall became the youngest male principal in the dance company's history when he was 21.
A recipient of the Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire title, Wall retired from the troupe the Royal Ballet in 1984.
He is survived by his wife, two children and several grandchildren, the BBC said.
