First look at HBO's 'True Detective' with Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson will team up for the small screen.

According to the Huffington Post, a new HBO series, "True Detective," focuses on two detectives tracking down a serial killer in Louisiana.

Harrelson's most recent role in television was the award-winning "Game Change," in which he played Republican strategist Steve Schmidt. This will be McConaughey's first starring small screen role, after recently guest-starring on HBO's comedy series "Eastbound & Down" with Danny McBride.
