'Kinky Boots,' 'Pippin' win top Drama League Awards

NEW YORK, May 17 (UPI) -- "Kinky Boots" was named Best Musical and "Pippin" Best Revival of a Musical at the Drama League Awards ceremony in New York Friday.

"Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike" won for Best Play, while the Best Revival of a Play honor went to "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf."

"The Nance" star Nathan Lane scored the ceremony's lone acting prize for Distinguished Performance.

Debra Messing and David Hyde Pierce served as hosts of the awards luncheon at the Marriott Marquis Times Square in Manhattan.
