The latest news on today's hottest celebrities ...

LINDSAY LOHAN: Lindsay Lohan pleaded no contest in a Los Angeles court Monday to reckless driving and lying to police regarding a 2012 collision.

Lohan was accused of lying by saying someone else was driving her Porsche when she was involved in a Santa Monica, Calif., car crash last June. She is on probation after stealing a necklace and driving drunk.

The 26-year-old actress was ordered to 90 days in rehab and will avoid jail time as part of Monday's plea deal, TMZ reported.

She also was ordered to perform 30 days of community labor, submit to drug testing and undergo psychotherapy for 18 months, the celebrity news website said.

TMZ said the former child star was nearly 50 minutes late to her court hearing.

Best known for her hit films such as "The Parent Trap," "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls," Lohan has seen her career eclipsed in recent years by her legal woes and battles with drug and alcohol addiction. She was most recently seen in the critically panned TV movie "Liz & Dick."

VANESSA MARCIL: Actress Vanessa Marcil's divorce from actor Carmine Giovinazzo has been finalized, Los Angeles court records show.

Marcil filed for divorce from Giovinazzo last summer, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, TMZ said. They couple, who were married in 2010, have no children together.

Marcil is best known for her work on TV's "General Hospital" and "Beverly Hills, 90210."

Giovinazzo is a cast member of "CSI: NY."

KATHY BATES: The subtitle of Season 3 of "American Horror Story" will be "Coven," the anthology show's creator Ryan Murphy has announced.

"It's a really cool story we've been talking about for a couple of years. So we're going to do that," Murphy said at PaleyFest Television Festival in Los Angeles Friday night.

Filming of the supernatural series will take place in several locations, including New Orleans, and Kathy Bates has joined the cast for the new season, EW.com said Murphy confirmed at the event.

"I wanted to see a lot of scenes with Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates going at it," Murphy said, "so that's what you're going to see."

Lange has starred in the previous two editions of "Horror Story," which features a repertory ensemble. Every season follows a new set of characters in different times and places than the previous season.

CAROLE KING: "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical" is scheduled to begin performances on Broadway in spring 2014, producers announced.

Featuring beloved songs penned by Gerry Goffin and Carole King, and Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, the show will have a book by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Douglas McGrath and will play a fall 2013 pre-Broadway engagement to be announced shortly.

"What's so great about this for me is that musicals were a major influence on my songwriting," King said in a statement Friday. "In fact, when Gerry and I first met, we made a bargain that I would write music for the Broadway show he wanted to write if he wrote lyrics for my rock 'n' roll songs. The songs took off, and the show idea never came to fruition. Now that our songs have merged with a Broadway show, we've come full circle."

Casting and other news from "Beautiful" will be announced shortly, producers said in a news release.
