The latest news on today's hottest celebrities ...

PETER BANKS: Peter Banks, a guitarist who performed with Yes in the 1960s, has died of heart failure at his London home, his family said. He was 65.

Rolling Stone magazine confirmed Tuesday he was found dead last Thursday after he failed to show up for a recording session.

After leaving Yes in 1970, Banks performed with the bands Flash and Empire, and enjoyed a successful solo recording career.

Rolling Stone said plans for Banks' funeral had not been announced.

QUEEN ELIZABETH: Britain's Queen Elizabeth has canceled her public appearances for the next two days as she slowly recovers from a stomach bug, Buckingham Palace said Tuesday.

"The queen continues to make a good recovery following her recent illness, and today she presented the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry and held a series of audiences," the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported the palace said in a statement.

"However, regrettably, she will no longer attend the Tech City engagement planned for tomorrow, or the Soldiers' and Airmen's Scriptures Association Service at the Guards Chapel on Thursday. ... The queen hopes to resume her program of official engagements next week."

The 86-year-old monarch was briefly hospitalized last week due to the illness.

SEAN LOWE: "The Bachelor" star Sean Lowe has joined the Season 16 cast of "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles, ABC announced Tuesday.

"The Bachelor" wrapped up Monday night with Lowe, a successful Dallas businessman and entrepreneur, proposing to Catherine Giudici.

Lowe will begin competing when the latest edition of "Dancing" premieres March 18. The first star will be eliminated from the competition on the March 26 results episode.

Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet will once again serve as co-hosts of the show.

TAYLOR SWIFT: Taylor Swift's publicist says unopened fan mail addressed to the country singer and discovered in a Nashville trash pile ended up there "accidentally."

Kaylee Francescan told ABC Nashville station WKRN she found the letters -- some of which were "covered with pictures, hearts and sparkles" while she was throwing trash in a recycling container.

"There were like hundreds of letters in there to Taylor Swift and I'm like, 'Oh, my gosh!' I didn't know if they were stolen [or] discarded, so I threw them in a box," Francescan said. "And I'm like, 'Somebody needs to let Taylor know.' It did bother me [because] I know how much her fans mean to her."

But Swift's representative told UsMagazine.com the missives ended up in the garbage by mistake.

"A small batch of mail that was supposed to be delivered to Taylor was accidentally put with letters headed for the recycling center," the publicist said.
