NEW YORK, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Designer Marc Jacobs says he has postponed his scheduled Fashion Week runway show in New York from Monday to Thursday because of this weekend's snowstorm.

"We're missing bags, shoes and two fabrics," Jacobs spokesman Robert Duffy told Women's Wear Daily, referring to how the anticipated blizzard has slowed deliveries and forced the cancellation of flights to the U.S. Northeast. "We just want to have the best show possible and show all the product that our design team has been working on so hard for the last six months."

"We are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience and expense that this may cause you and your team,"Jacobs said in a posting on his Facebook page. "We very much hope you will be able to make it to the show at the new time but if you cannot we completely understand,"

Weather predictions said New York could get more than a foot of snow between Friday and Saturday.
