NEW YORK, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- A casting call is being held for a cat to appear in the upcoming Broadway production of Richard Greenberg's new play, "Breakfast at Tiffany's," producers said.

"Holly Golightly's beloved companion, Cat, is one of the most famous felines in all of literature," play director Sean Mathias said in a statement Thursday. "We will search high and low until we find the perfect animal to take on this role."

"Breakfast at Tiffany's" is to begin performances at the Cort Theatre March 4. Opening night is planned for March 20.

The stage adaption of Truman Capote's classic novella will star Emilia Clarke as Holly, Cory Michael Smith as Fred and George Wendt as Joe Bell.
