Rapper Rick Ross unharmed in Florida shooting, crash

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Rapper Rick Royce escaped injury when shots were fired at his Rolls-Royce Monday, causing the car to crash into a Florida building, The Miami Herald reported.

No one was injured in the early morning incident on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, the Herald said.

TMZ said a motorist pulled his or her vehicle up next to Ross' Rolls, then fired dozens of shots, missing the car, but striking nearby buildings.

Police told the celebrity news website they had made no arrests in connection with the shooting and had not identified any suspects.

Injured Barbara Walters is suffering from chicken pox

NEW YORK, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Barbara Walters, who fell and cut her head 10 days ago, now is suffering from chicken pox, it was announced on Monday's edition of "The View" in New York.

Walters, 83, was hospitalized in Washington last week after tripping on a stair at the British ambassador's residence. The injury prevented her from covering the presidential inauguration festivities as planned for ABC News.

"We want to give you an update on Barbara. You all know that she fell and cut her head 10 days ago, and then was running a temperature, but it turns out it is all the result of a delayed childhood. Barbara has the chicken pox. She'd never had it as a child. So, now she's been told to rest. She's not allowed any visitors. And we're telling you, Barbara, no scratching," moderator Whoopi Goldberg said on "The View" Monday.

Walters transferred to a New York hospital late last week and expects to be home soon, Goldberg said.

"We love you. We miss you. We just don't want to hug you," she added in a message to Walters.

Model Liberty Ross, film director Rupert Sanders divorcing

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- British model Liberty Ross has filed for divorce from film director Rupert Sanders, her husband of 10 years, legal documents filed in Los Angeles show.

Ross, 34, filed the divorce papers Friday, months after her husband, 41, was photographed in a steamy embrace with actress Kristen Stewart, the 22-year-old star of his movie, "Snow White and the Huntsman."

Ross appeared in the big-screen fairy tale as the mother of a younger version of Stewart's Snow White character.

Both Sanders and Stewart apologized publicly for their affair and insisted it was over.

"This was a long time coming," UsMagazine.com quoted a source close to Ross and Sanders as saying about Ross' divorce filing.

The insider said Sanders "did want to try to repair the relationship and didn't want a divorce." However, a second person with knowledge of the situation told the magazine Ross was too upset to forgive and forget.

The couple have two children together -- Skyla, 7, and Tennyson, 5.

Stewart and her longtime beau, actor Robert Pattinson, broke up briefly after the affair, but have reconciled.

Actor Seann William Scott and model Lindsay Frimodt break up

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Seann William Scott's publicist says the U.S. actor has ended his yearlong engagement to former Victoria's Secret model Lindsay Frimodt.

The "American Pie" and "Cop Out" star's representative confirmed the breakup to UsMagazine.com, but didn't offer a reason as to why it happened.

"They remain friends," a source told the celebrity magazine of the one-time couple. "It was a very amicable split."
