LOS ANGELES, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Italian fashion label Ferragamo has undergone a more youthful transformation under the direction of designer Massimiliano Giornetti, fashion experts said.

Giornetti showed off his spring-summer 2013 collection Thursday with a fashion show and party at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday. The guest list was a veritable who's who of the fashion and entertainment world, including actress Demi Moore and Harper's Bazaar contributing editor Jacqui Getty, both of whom showed up wearing Ferragamo creations.

"The mix of textures and the craftsmanship really inspire me," Getty said of her dress, a cream-colored crochet and chain mail design "It's classic and now it has an edge."

Getty, who hosted the event, also invited Emma Roberts, Nicole Richie, Peggy Lipton, Johnny and Linda Ramone, Rosanna Arquette, Keegan Allen, Bret Easton Ellis,  Pamela Skaist-Levy, Gela Nash-Taylor, Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman, and Arianne Phillips, among others.

Giornetti was not in attendance at Thursday's show because he's still in Italy working on his next women's collection, which will be debuted in a few weeks in Milan, the Times reported.
