'The Heiress' to close one day early so Chastain can attend BAFTAs

NEW YORK, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- The Broadway revival of "The Heiress" is to close a day earlier than planned so star Jessica Chastain can attend the BAFTA Awards in London.

Chastain has won numerous awards this season for her portrayal of a CIA agent in the film "Zero Dark Thirty." She is also nominated for a British Academy of Film and Television Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award and an Oscar.

The producers of "The Heiress" said Friday the production will play its final performance Feb. 9, instead of Feb. 10 as planned, to enable Chastain to attend the BAFTA Awards Feb. 10 in London.
