LOS ANGELES, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Los Angeles County's district attorney has charged Hulk Hogan's ex-wife, Linda Hogan, with two counts of drunken driving after an October arrest, officials say.
Linda Hogan, 53, -- whose real name is Linda Bollea -- was stopped for speeding in October in Los Angeles. Her blood-alcohol content was listed on the police citation as .084, 0.004 above the legal limit in California, TMZ reported.
Linda Hogan's representative said the reality television personality had just one glass of champagne on an empty stomach, the effects of which were compounded by antibiotics.
The excuse didn't matter to the DA's office, which also charged her with one count of driving on a suspended license, TMZ reported. All three charges are misdemeanors.
If convicted, she could spend as much as 18 months in jail.
The October incident occurred hours after Hulk Hogan's sex tape was leaked onto the Internet, the London newspaper Daily Mail reported.
