JENNI RIVERA: California-born singer Jenni Rivera was killed in a Learjet crash shortly after takeoff Sunday, Mexican authorities said. She was 43.

The recording star has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide and was recently named one of People En Espanol's 25 most powerful women.

The mother of five children also starred in the reality TV show, "I Love Jenni," and was set to headline an ABC sitcom called "Jenni."

People.com said there were no survivors among the seven people on the plane, which took off early Sunday in Monterrey, Mexico, following Rivera's concert there. It was headed to Toluca, outside Mexico City. Rivera's publicist, lawyer and makeup artist were all on-board.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.

'ZERO DARK THIRTY:' The New York Film Critics Online voted director Kathryn Bigelow's "Zero Dark Thirty" the Best Film of 2012 Sunday.

The movie about the hunt for terror leader Osama bin Ladin also earned Bigelow the Best Director honor and writer Mark Boal the award for Best Screenplay.

Daniel Day-Lewis was named Best Actor for his work in "Lincoln."

Emmanuelle Riva took the prize for Best Actress for "Amour," which also received NYFCO's award for Best Foreign Language film.

NYFCO's Top 10 in alphabetical order are "Argo," "Beasts of the Southern Wild," "Django Unchained," "Les Miserables," "Life of Pi," "Lincoln," "The Master," "Moonrise Kingdom," "Silver Linings Playbook" and "Zero Dark Thirty."

RICK ROSS: Rap mogul Rick Ross has canceled seven planned U.S. concerts after receiving death threats, MTV.com reported.

Ross, who is the head of the Maybach Music Group, has been touring with hip-hop artists Meek Mill and Wale. He canceled two North Carolina shows Thursday night, then scrapped the rest of the dates Friday, MTV.com said.

"I want to apologize to all of my fans who I missed performing for due to the cancellations and want to let them know that I will get back to their cities," Rick Ross told AllHipHop.com Friday. "I enjoyed my experience with my little bros Wale and Meek Mill and I'm ready to get back in the studio to make good music."

While Ross's publicist told AllHipHop the dates were canceled due to "apparent lack of organization and communication on the part of the tour promoter," MTV.com said it was really because he received threats from the street gang, Gangster Disciples.

Members of the group have said in the past they were upset with Ross for mentioning their leader Larry Hoover in his 2010 single "B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast)."

HONEY BOO BOO: The dad of reality television star Honey Boo Boo was checked out by paramedics while playing Santa Claus at the family's Georgia home, sources told E! News.

The 40-year-old man known as Sugar Bear said he wasn't feeling well during a Saturday night toy drove at their place in McIntyre, so worried family members called 911.

The tip off that something was amiss came when Sugar declined to allow the little kids to perch on his lap.

"He was not feeling well," the source said. "They were worried his blood pressure was getting high."

Sugar Bear was apparently well enough that he did not require a trip to the emergency room.
