Alec Baldwin's alleged stalker jailed

NEW YORK, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Genevieve Sabourin, the French-Canadian actress accused of stalking actor Alec Baldwin, was arrested and jailed, the Manhattan District Attorney's Office said.

E! News said it is unclear why she was handcuffed and placed behind bars after a scheduled hearing, during which she was assigned a new lawyer, Tuesday morning in New York Supreme Court.

Sabourin, who claims she and Baldwin had a romantic relationship, was arrested in April on suspicion of aggravated harassment and stalking.

She was released on her own recognizance and ordered to stay away from the "30 Rock" star.

E! News said she since has been commenting on Baldwin and his new wife Hilaria via Twitter.


Broadway lights dimmed for producer Martin Richards

NEW YORK, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- The Broadway community mourned the death of celebrated producer Martin Richards by dimming marquee lights for a minute Tuesday night.

Richards died Monday at the age of 80.

"For over 50 years, Marty Richards has been transferring his passion for theater to the stage," Charlotte St. Martin, executive director of The Broadway League, said in a statement. "The popularity of his shows has brought many generations to Broadway. He was an admirer of talent, and we were an admirer of his. His love for the arts was matched only by his generosity and philanthropic causes. He will be greatly missed, and our thoughts are with his family and friends."

Stage and screen icon Chita Rivera said her longtime friend is someone she "loved dearly" and "will miss every day" of her life.

"With Marty gone, he has taken a piece of myself with him," the actress said in a statement. "What a privilege to have shared a part of his flamboyant history. Through Marty and his courageous eye and infallible taste, I have inherited gifts I had never imagined would come my way. I loved him dearly and will miss him every day of my life. I have lost a great friend."


Singer Jessica Simpson pregnant with second child

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- U.S. singer Jessica Simpson is pregnant with her second child seven months after giving birth to daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson, UsMagazine.com said.

"It definitely wasn't planned. But yes, Jessica is pregnant again," an insider told the magazine. "She really is overjoyed!"

The report did not say what the baby's gender or anticipated birthdate are.

Simpson is engaged to former football player Eric Johnson.


'Unapologetic' tops U.S. album chart

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Rihanna's "Unapologetic" is No. 1 on the U.S. album chart, Billboard.com reported Wednesday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 is Taylor Swift's "Red," followed by One Direction's "Take Me Home" at No. 3, Phillip Phillips' "The World From the Side of the Moon" at No. 4 and Kid Rock's "Rebel Soul" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are Rod Stewart's "Merry Christmas, Baby" at No. 6, P!nk's "The Truth About Love" at No. 7, Jason Aldean's "Night Train" at No. 8, Led Zeppelin's "Celebration Day" at No. 9 and Keyshia Cole's "Woman to Woman" at No. 10.
