The latest news on today's hottest celebrities ...

MICHAEL LOHAN: A paternity test has proven U.S. tabloid fixture Michael Lohan is the father of 17-year-old Ashley Horn.

Lohan learned the result of the test on Thursday's edition of TV's "Trisha Goddard" chat show.

Kristi Horn has long named Lohan as the biological father of her daughter. Lohan was married to Dina Lohan from 1985 to 2007, but they separated several times. They have four children, including troubled actress Lindsay and aspiring model Ali.

Michael and Lindsay have been in the news in recent years for their family disputes, substance abuse issues and brushes with the law.

Michael met Ashley for the first time on the TV program.

When Goddard asked who wanted to open the DNA results envelope, Ashley volunteered, saying, "I'll do it; it's my life," to which Michael added, "It's all of our lives."

Kristi cried as she read the result, while Ashley remained silent.

Goddard looked at the paper and announced, "Michael is Ashley's father."

Ashley then handed the envelope to Michael and said, "Just to prove to you." Michael responded by saying, "I believe what you said."

Kristi then told Michael, "You have another daughter and you missed out on 17 years of her life."

Michael attempted to hug Ashley, but she resisted, explaining, "This is the first time I've met you, I'm sorry, but I'm not sure."

JON BON JOVI: Drug charges against Jon Bon Jovi's 19-year-old daughter, Stephanie Rose Bongiovi, were dropped, the Oneida County District Attorney's Office in New York said.

Bongiovi was arrested Wednesday after allegedly overdosing on heroin.

The Town of Kirkland Police Department in upstate New York told TMZ police and emergency medical personnel responded to a 911 call saying Bongiovi was found unresponsive in her dorm room at Hamilton College after using the illegal drug.

Investigators said they found heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia at the scene.

The rock icon's daughter was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Ian S. Grant, 21, was arrested at the scene and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Grant was the one who called 911 to get help for Bongiovi.

"By law, they have to be dropped," prosecutor Scott D. McNamara told the Syracuse Post-Standard about the charges against Bongiovi and Grant, referring to a 2011 amendment to the New York State Penal Law that exempts from possession charges a person who seeks help for an individual experiencing a "drug or alcohol overdose or other life-threatening medical emergency."

The person about whom the call is made is also exempted from prosecution, the newspaper said.

Bongiovi's medical condition following the incident was not reported.

KEVIN HART: Comedian and actor Kevin Hart has presented Newark Mayor Cory Booker with a $50,000 check for the Fireman's Charity Fund.

The Philadelphia native donated the money after seeing the destruction wrought by Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey last month, the New York Post reported Thursday.

He also left $50,000 worth of gift cards and donated supplies for disaster victims before performing his standup show at NJPAC, the newspaper said.

THE MONKEES: Micky Dolenz says Michael Nesmith had planned to return to The Monkees before their British band-member Davy Jones died last February.

Nesmith has not performed with the 1960s-era American pop group since the band played a handful of European dates in 1997. Dolenz, Nesmith and Peter Tork are to reunite for a show at Chicago Theatre Friday.

"The seeds of this were actually planted months before David's death," Dolenz told the Chicago Tribune. "We thought we should go out and do 'Headquarters,' which was the first album that we'd managed to get control over musically. Michael was expressing interest, and so were Peter and Davy and I. Then the tragedy struck and David passed."

Dolenz told the newspaper he and his fellow musicians further discussed a possible reunion at a private memorial for Jones in Los Angeles, then decided to embark on a 12-city tour.

"It did not become the 'Davy Jones Memorial Tour'; that just sounded a little bit creepy," Dolenz said. "However, there will be a tribute and homage, and I think all the fans will be very, very pleased."

The group's "The Monkees" television comedy series aired from 1966 to 1968.
