JIMMY KIMMEL: Jimmy Kimmel, who usually does his talk show in Los Angeles, says he will tape five episodes in New York, despite the impending arrival of Hurricane Sandy.

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" is to be recorded in front of live audiences at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Monday through Friday.

Hurricane Sandy is expected to hit the region Monday or early Tuesday. The forecast prompted the suspension of the city's public transportation system Sunday evening.

"We are bringing in backup generators and will be able to do our show in the event of a power failure," a representative for the show said in a statement issued to EW.com Sunday. "We are also flying staff and crew out earlier to beat the storm. We have had no audience dropouts so far despite news of the storm."


TAYLOR SWIFT: Country music star Taylor Swift will headline 58 North American stadium and arena shows next year to support her new album "Red," Big Machine Records said.

Singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran, whose duet "Everything Has Changed" is featured on the CD, will be a special guest at all of the shows.

The tour will kick off March 13 in Omaha, Neb., and will continue through Sept. 21 in Nashville.

"I didn't think I could be any more excited about my 'Red' album, but then I start thinking about how I'm going to put the new show together for 'The Red Tour,'" Swift said in a statement Saturday. "I have so many ideas about how to really bring this music to life, and I can't wait to share the new show with all my fans."


LIL WAYNE: Rapper Lil Wayne is staying at his mother's Louisiana home after suffering two seizures last week, TMZ reported.

The hip-hop star was hospitalized in Texas after the first seizure and in Louisiana after the second, the celebrity news website said Saturday.

He has since been released and sources told TMZ Lil Wayne was in good spirits as he recuperates.

There was no word on what caused the seizures and no other details about his health were available.


CEELO GREEN: U.S. recording star CeeLo Green is teaming up with The Muppets for a holiday special called "CeeLo's Magic Moment," TV Guide Network said.

Featuring appearances by Kermit, Miss Piggy, Rod Stewart and Eric Benet, the 1-hour program was taped in front of a live studio audience. It is to air Nov. 30.

"With a little help from my friends, I've created a classic holiday special that I'm thrilled for the world to watch, and I invite fans to tune in on Nov. 30 to join me while we celebrate this magic moment of the year!" Green said in a statement. "I hope to make this an annual holiday special for families to look forward to each year."
