COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- The Danish tabloid Se og Hor says it will publish topless photos taken of Kate Middleton, the wife of Britain's Prince William.

A judge ruled this week the French magazine Closer must stop printing issues featuring the images and hand the pictures over to the royal couple. However, the photos have already been published elsewhere, including on the Internet.

In a statement issued to the Copenhagen Post, editor-in-chief Kim Henningsen said Se og Hor would be the first Danish media outlet to publish the topless photos, which were taken by a paparazzo while Kate and William were sunbathing on holiday in southern France.

"Our readers love to follow the lives of celebrities and royals and are always looking for news that brings them up close," Henningsen said in the statement. "It is in Se og Hor's DNA to entertain and satisfy our readers' curiosity. Therefore, it is always relevant for us when a duchess and the future queen of England is topless and willingly reveals her breasts towards a public road."
