PRINCE HARRY: Britain's royal family is standing behind Prince Harry after nude photos of him at a Las Vegas party last week were published around the world.

"He didn't do anything unlawful," a palace source told People.com about the 27-year-old prince, who is third in line for the British throne behind his father, Charles, and brother, William. "What he did was entirely his own business."

Harry, who is Queen Elizabeth II's grandson, has been keeping a low profile since the photos were published, but he is to resume his official duties in London by attending the Paralympics Friday and WellChild Awards ceremony Monday, People.com said.

HOLLY MADISON: Playboy Playmate and U.S. reality TV personality Holly Madison says she is pregnant with her first child.

Madison, who has been dating 38-year-old party promoter Pasquale Rotella for about nine months, is 12 weeks pregnant, UsMagazine.com reported Wednesday.

"I've always wanted to be a mom," Madison, 33, told the magazine. "But I thought it would take longer!"

Madison is best known as one of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner's girlfriends, who were featured on the reality television series "The Girls Next Door." She also starred in her own reality series "Holly's World."

KATIE COURIC: Jessica Simpson and Sheryl Crow will appear on the first episode of Katie Couric's new talk show, which tapes in New York, producers said.

The nationally syndicated program, "Katie," is to debut Sept. 10.

Crow also penned the theme song for the one-hour program, which features Couric -- former co-anchor of NBC's "Today" and anchor of the "CBS Evening News" -- talking to women who are making transitions in their lives.

Other guests booked to appear on "Katie" this season are Barbra Streisand, Jennifer Lopez, E.L. James, Heidi Klum, Susan Sarandon, Chelsea Handler, Demi Lovato, Wendy Williams and Sofia Vergara.

SETH MacFARLANE: Comedian and "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane is to serve as guest host for the 38th season premiere of "Saturday Night Live" in New York, NBC said.

Frank Ocean will be the musical guest for the first episode of the season, which is to tape Sept. 15.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will serve as guest host Sept. 22 when Mumford & Sons will make their debut as musical guest.

On Oct. 6, Daniel Craig will take his turn as host. Muse will provide the music for the show that night, NBC said.
