Halle Berry suffers minor head injury

LOS ANGELES, July 18 (UPI) -- Halle Berry's publicist says the actress has been released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where she was treated for a minor head injury.

The 45-year-old Oscar-winning star of "Monster's Ball" hit her head Tuesday night while filming "The Hive," People.com reported.

"Halle Berry suffered a minor head injury while shooting a fight sequence on the set of her film, 'The Hive,'" her representative told the celebrity magazine. "She was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but she checked out healthy and was released. She'll continue production as planned."

Madonna cancels Australian concert tour

LONDON, July 18 (UPI) -- Madonna has canceled her upcoming planned concerts in Australia, Live Nation confirmed.

The BBC said no reason was given for the change in schedule.

The 2013 shows would have been the U.S. pop icon's first in Australia in 20 years, the British broadcaster noted.

"Madonna's tour will end in South America in December as planned. That's all we can say," a Live Nation representative told the BBC.

Madonna's "MDNA" tour has been sparking controversy in recent weeks. She flashed her breast to a largely Islamic audience in Istanbul and superimposed an image of the swastika onto a video of far-right French political leader Marine Le Pen in Paris.

'Uncaged' tops U.S. album chart

LOS ANGELES, July 18 (UPI) -- Zac Brown Band's "Uncaged" is No. 1 on the U.S. album chart, Billboard.com reported Wednesday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 is Frank Ocean's "Channel Orange," followed by Justin Bieber's "Believe" at No. 3, Chris Brown's "Fortune" at No. 4 and Maroon 5's "Overexposed" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are Linkin Park's "Living Things" at No. 6, One Direction's "Up All Night" at No. 7, Adele's "21" at No. 8, Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" at No. 9 and Kenny Chesney's "Welcome to the Fishbowl" at No. 10.

Janet Jackson objects to Paris acting

LOS ANGELES, July 18 (UPI) -- U.S. pop star Janet Jackson is not supportive of her 14-year-old niece Paris' decision to act professionally while still a child, sources told UsMagazine.com.

Paris is one of the three children of Janet's singer brother, Michael, who died in 2009.

The teen has spoken publicly about her plans to act in the movie "Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys," which is due for release in 2014. But Janet is afraid doing so goes against her late sibling's wishes that his children not work until they are at least 18, UsMagazine.com said.

"She feels it goes against Michael's wishes to keep his kids out of the limelight until age 18," an insider told the magazine. "Janet thinks Paris should enjoy being a kid and possibly go to college. ... It's a huge dispute!"

Paris and her brothers, Prince Michael and Blanket, are being raised by Janet and Michael's mother, Katherine.

Janet and Michael, as well as their siblings, grew up performing professionally.
