NEW YORK, July 16 (UPI) -- The Broadway League says the marquee lights along the Great White Way will be dimmed Wednesday in honor of late actress Celeste Holm.
Holm died Sunday at the age of 95.
"Celeste Holm's impressive career on stage and screen spanned six decades, so multi-generations of theater and film fans had the chance to appreciate her unique talent. Our thoughts are with her friends and family at this time," Charlotte St. Martin, executive director of the Broadway League, said in a statement Monday.
Holm's Broadway credits include "Time of Your Life," "Oklahoma!," "Bloomer Girl," "The King and I," "Mame," "Anna Christie" and "I Hate Hamlet."
She earned an Academy Award for her work in the film "Gentleman's Agreement" and two other Oscar nominations for "Come to the Stable" and "All About Eve."
