NEW YORK, June 29 (UPI) -- Sigourney Weaver and David Hyde Pierce are to star in the New York production of Christopher Durang's play "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike."

Set in present-day Bucks County, Pa., the show blends characters and themes from Russian playwright Anton Chekhov's works.

Previews are to begin Oct. 25, with opening night planned for Nov. 12 at Lincoln Center's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, producers announced Friday.

The cast will also include Genevieve Angelson, Shalita Grant, Billy Magnussen and Kristine Nielsen.
