'Well,' 'Drought' honored at LA film fest

LOS ANGELES, June 25 (UPI) -- Pocas Pascoal's "All is Well" and Everardo Gonzalez's "Drought" won the jury prizes for Best Narrative and Best Documentary at the Los Angeles Film Festival.

The award for Best Performance in the narrative competition went to Wendell Pierce, Emory Cohen, E.J. Bonilla and Aja Naomi King for their work in Joshua Sanchez's "Four."

Benh Zeitlin's "Beasts of the Southern Wild," Sara Lamm and Mary Wigmore's "Birth Story: Ina May Gaskin and The Farm Midwives" and Malik Bendjelloul's "Searching for Sugar Man" earned audience awards for Best Narrative Feature, Best Documentary Feature and Best International Feature respectively.

The winners were announced at a brunch where Jon Heder and Ari Graynor handed out the awards.

"Every single filmmaker in this year's festival deserves kudos for their artistry and compelling stories. Our juries had such gems to choose from in each competition and the winners truly represent what we hold dear -- diversity and uniqueness of vision," Festival Director Stephanie Allain said in a statement.

"In an extremely competitive year, our juries had hard choices to make. The winning films are wonderful examples of what the festival celebrates: bold, fresh, personal visions that expand the horizons of independent cinema," said Festival Artistic Director David Ansen.

Kate ordered to curtsy to blood princesses

LONDON, June 25 (UPI) -- Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has ordered her grandson Prince William's wife Kate to curtsy to the princesses born into the royal family, documents show.

The Daily Telegraph reported the detail is mentioned in the monarch's updated order of precedence in the royal family. It means the former Kate Middleton -- when not accompanied by Prince William -- must curtsy to her in-laws Princesses Anne, Alexandra, Beatrice and Eugenie.

When William is with her, Kate, by virtue of her marriage to the prince now the duchess of Cambridge, must only bend the knee to Charles, the prince of Wales; Camilla, the duchess of Cornwall; the queen; and Philip, the duke of Edinburgh, the newspaper said.

Cattrall feels pressure to be an expert on sex

LONDON, June 25 (UPI) -- British-born actress Kim Cattrall says her image as a vixen in the "Sex and the City" TV and film franchise negatively impacted some of her real-life romances.

"I'm no expert on sex but I've felt under huge pressure in the past to be one, because of the characters I've played," the 55-year-old, thrice-divorced actress told The Sunday Times Magazine.

"The thing that changed everything for me was becoming sexually happy," she said. "I'd not been for years, but then I was with a partner who was sensitive and who listened. One of the great things about 'Sex and the City' was that it addressed sexuality with humor. It's not all about orgasms ... it's about the journey."

Jessica Simpson posts cleavage photo

LOS ANGELES, June 25 (UPI) -- U.S. singer-actress Jessica Simpson posted on Twitter a photo of the ample cleavage she showed off while taking her infant daughter for a walk.

"Just taking a walk around the block," People.com said she tweeted Friday, along with the picture. "Street legal???"

In the photo, Simpson is seen wearing sunglasses and a low-cut black top, while pushing a stroller.

She gave birth to Maxwell Drew May 1. She is engaged to professional football player Eric Johnson.
