NEW YORK, June 25 (UPI) -- Singer-actor Billy Ray Cyrus is to play fast-talking criminal lawyer Billy Flynn in the Broadway musical "Chicago," producers announced Monday.

Best known for his hit songs "Achy Breaky Heart" and "Some Gave All," the former "Hannah Montana" star will make his Broadway debut in November.

Cyrus will play a limited seven-week engagement at the Ambassador Theatre through Dec. 23.

The musical is now in its 16th year on Broadway.
