NEW YORK, June 12 (UPI) -- Cybill Shepherd, John Stamos, Kristin Davis and Elizabeth Ashley are taking over roles from outgoing cast members in the Broadway revival of "The Best Man."

The show's producers said Tuesday Shepherd, Stamos, Davis and Ashley will be replacing Candice Bergen, Eric McCormack, Kerry Butler and Angela Lansbury, respectively.

Shepherd, Stamos and Davis will begin performances July 10, while Ashley will start July 24.

Original cast members James Earl Jones, John Larroquette, Jefferson Mays and Mark Blum, who replaced the injured Michael McKean this month, will remain with the production through its final performance Sept. 9.

The show began previews March 6 and officially opened April 1 at Manhattan's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. Its limited engagement was extended twice due to popular demand.
