LOS ANGELES, June 8 (UPI) -- Mel Gibson's father, John Hutton Gibson, has filed for divorce in Los Angeles from his second wife after more than 10 years of marriage, E! News said.

The elder Gibson, who is 93, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for his May 28 split from Teddy Joye Hicks Gibson.

His first wife, Anne, died in 1990. They are the parents of 11 children, including Mel, an Oscar-winning filmmaker and actor.
