
Former child star Dee Jay Daniels charged with murder
STOCKTON, Calif., June 7 (UPI) -- Former child star Dee Jay Daniels has been charged with stabbing a man to death outside a Stockton, Calif., club, police said.
Daniels, 23, has been charged with possession of marijuana, premeditated murder and gang activity in the fatal stabbing of 26-year-old John Joseph last summer, E! News said Wednesday.
Two other men were also arrested for taking part in the attack.
Daniels, a former cast member of the sitcom "The Hughleys," is being held in San Joaquin County jail with no bail and could face life in prison if convicted, E! said.
The actor's other small-screen credits include "Cold Case," "Coach," "ER," "Grace Under Fire," "The Wayans Bros." and "Family Matters."
Robin Gibb's funeral set for Friday
LONDON, June 7 (UPI) -- A horse-drawn carriage is to carry the body of British pop music icon Robin Gibb through his hometown of Thame Friday, his family said.
The Bee Gees star died of complications of cancer last month. He was 62.
The BBC said Gibb's casket will be carried through town before a private family service at St. Mary's Church.
The Bee Gees hit "I Started a Joke" and Gibb's latest composition "Don't Cry Alone" will be played at his funeral, his son R.J. told the British broadcaster.
Underwood wins two CMT Awards
NASHVILLE, June 7 (UPI) -- Carrie Underwood won the prizes for Video of the Year and Collaborative Video of the Year at the 2012 CMT Music Awards show in Nashville Wednesday.
Underwood won Video of the Year for "Good Girl" and shared the Collaborative Video of the Year honor with Brad Paisley for "Remind Me."
Luke Bryan took home the Male Video of the Year trophy for "I Don't Want This Night to End," Miranda Lambert picked up the prize for Female Video of the Year for "Over You" and Lady Antebellum won Group Video of the Year for "We Owned the Night."
Scott McCreery claimed the USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year for "The Trouble with Girls," Jason Aldean took home the award for CMT Performance of the Year for "Tattoos on This Town" and Thompson Square walked away with the Duo Video of the Year title for "I Got You."
'Somebody' still No. 1 on record chart
LOS ANGELES, June 7 (UPI) -- Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know" is No. 1 on the U.S. record chart for an eighth week, Billboard.com reported Thursday.
Coming in at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 is Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe," followed by Maroon 5's "Payphone" featuring Wiz Khalifa at No. 3, Fun.'s "We Are Young" featuring Janelle Monae at No. 4 and Nicki Minaj's "Starships" at No. 5.
Rounding out the top tier are One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful" at No. 6, Flo Rida's "Wild Ones" featuring Sia at No. 7, Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend" at No. 8, Rihanna's "Where Have You Been" at No. 9 and the Wanted's "Glad You Came" at No. 10.
