No drug charges to be brought against Courtney Wagner

LOS ANGELES, May 29 (UPI) -- Los Angeles prosecutors say no drug charges will be brought against Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner's daughter, who was arrested last month in Malibu.

Courtney Wagner, 38, was arrested for cocaine and heroin possession after police responding to a report of a gunshot at her home allegedly found drugs there.

An unidentified male was arrested at the scene for negligent discharge of a firearm. No injuries were reported in the incident.

TMZ said Wagner will not face charges because police did not follow procedure.

"Deputies did not have probable cause, consent, nor a warrant to conduct the search and recover narcotics, so as a result the case is being rejected because of illegal search and seizure," the district attorney's office said in a statement issued to TMZ.

Courtney Wagner's mother, Natalie Wood, a star in "Miracle on 34th Street," "West Side Story," "Splendor in the Grass," "Gypsy" and other movies, died in November 1981. Her death at age 43 was ruled an accidental drowning during a boating trip with her husband and their friend, actor Christopher Walken.

Robert Wagner, 82, starred in the TV shows "It Takes a Thief," "Switch" and "Hart to Hart."

Prince William: Wedding bittersweet without Diana

LONDON, May 29 (UPI) -- Britain's Prince William says his mother, the late Princess Diana, was sorely missed at his wedding to Kate Middleton last year.

The 29-year-old heir to the throne of England said in an interview for ABC's "The Jubilee Queen with Katie Couric" special that Diana's absence from his special day was "very difficult."

"I sort of prepared myself beforehand so that I was sort of mentally prepared. ... I didn't want any wobbly lips or anything going on," the prince said.

"It's the one time since she's died, where I've ... thought to myself it would be fantastic if she was here, and just how sad, really for her more than anything, not being able to see it," he said. "She would have loved the day and I think, hopefully, she'd be very proud. I'm just very sad that she's never going to get a chance to meet Kate."

Couric's special, which focuses on the 60th year of Queen Elizabeth II's reign, is to air on ABC Tuesday night.

Princess Diana, ex-wife of the queen's first son, Prince Charles, and mother to Princes William and Harry, died in a Paris car wreck in 1997. She was 36.

Todd Bridges and wife Dori split up

LOS ANGELES, May 29 (UPI) -- U.S. television actor Todd Bridges says he and his wife Dori have separated after 14 years of marriage.

Todd Bridges announced his plans to divorce Dori via Twitter last Friday, but had only kind words for the mother of his 13-year-old son, Spencir.

"She's a great mother I'm glad to have had the years to know her and have a great kid with her," Bridges wrote. "As we know, people grow apart and we did."

Todd Bridges' small-screen credits include "Everybody Hates Chris" and "Diff'rent Strokes."

CNN taps Bourdain for new show

NEW YORK, May 29 (UPI) -- U.S. chef, author and TV personality Anthony Bourdain is to serve as host of a new weekend food and travel program, CNN said.

The announcement was made Tuesday by CNN Worldwide Executive Vice President and Managing Editor Mark Whitaker.

"For more than a decade, Anthony Bourdain has been a trailblazer in educating Americans about different cuisines and cultures around the world, as well as an outspoken commentator on social trends ranging from the rise of celebrity chefs to the impact of fast-food chains to the spread of vegetarianism and veganism," Whitaker said in a statement. "Examining the world through the prism of Tony's unique expertise and passions continues CNN's long-standing commitment to international reporting and to promoting global understanding."

The show is to debut in early 2013. It will be shot on location and will examine cultures from around the world through their food and dining, and travel rituals, CNN said.

"I'm really looking forward to coming over to CNN. I think the world is going to get a whole lot bigger for me," said Bourdain. "I hope that old fans and new ones will be excited about what's coming down the road."
