LONDON, May 22 (UPI) -- Britain's Prince William admits he slept for only about 30 minutes the night before his 2011 wedding to Kate Middleton.

"[The crowds] were singing and cheering all night long, so the excitement of that, the nervousness of me and everyone singing -- I slept for about half an hour," UsMagazine.com quoted the 29-year-old prince as saying in an interview for an ITV1 documentary about his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who is celebrating 60 years on the throne.

William also confessed he felt overwhelmed when palace staff handed him a list of 777 guests -- none of whom he or his bride-to-be knew -- several months before their high-profile London wedding ceremony.

"I went to [Queen Elizabeth] and said, 'Listen, I've got this list, not one person I know -- what do I do?' And she went: 'Get rid of it. Start from your friends and then we'll add those we need to in due course. It's your day,'" the prince recalled.
