WEST BOCA, Fla., May 19 (UPI) -- TLC's "I Cloned My Pet," will feature pet owners who lost their companions, only to reunite with them again through the wonders of science.

Nina and Edgar Otto of West Boca, one of the couples to be featured on the show, will discuss Sir Lancelot, their golden Labrador retriever of 11 years who died of cancer in 2008. The Otto's cryogenically froze Lancelot's DNA years before he died, finally cloning him six months later. They eagerly welcomed the result, Lancelot Encore, into their home.

"The former Lancelot always sat with his paws crossed and when Lancey came along sure enough, that's the first thing he did," Nina Otto told the South Florida Sun Sentinel. "He's done it ever since."

"I Cloned My Pet" will feature three stories of dog owners who reunited with their furry friends through cloning. Such procedures run from $50,000 to well above $100,000.

The show premiers Monday, 10 p.m. EST.

The American Kennel Club does not monitor or advocate for cloned dogs, said spokeswoman Lisa Peterson.
