LOS ANGELES, May 6 (UPI) -- Actress Amanda Bynes allegedly was involved in a minor car accident in Los Angeles, prompting the other driver to call the police, officials say.
On Friday afternoon, Bynes, 26, allegedly sideswiped a pickup truck with her Range Rover and kept driving, People reported.
"At 4:25 p.m., we were notified of a possible hit-and-run," LAPD Sgt. Ben Zucker said. "The caller followed Miss Bynes for a short distance to a gas station."
"It turned out the damage to the pickup truck was so minor that it was very plausible she had no idea that she hit anyone," Zucker added. "Because of that, we decided not to charge her with hit and run, took a traffic report instead and sent her on her way. There were no arrests made and no one was injured."
The damage to the pickup truck was minor paint rub to his right front fender, Zucker said.
Zucker said there was no indication Bynes was intoxicated and both drivers exchanged insurance information.
