TOMMY MARTH: Tommy Marth, saxophonist for the rock band The Killers, has committed suicide at age 33, the Clark County Coroner's Office in Las Vegas confirmed.

Marth's body was found in his Las Vegas-area home Monday morning, the office told E! News Thursday.

No other details regarding the manner and circumstances of his death were immediately reported.

"Last night we lost our friend Thomas Marth. Our prayers are with his family. There's a light missing in Las Vegas tonight. Travel well, Tommy," his band mates said in a statement posted on the band's Facebook page and Twitter Monday.

E! News said Marth is survived by his parents and two siblings. He was a member of the band since 2005.


'AMERICAN IDOL:' Elise Testone became the latest contestant booted off of "American Idol" in Los Angeles Thursday.

Testone, 28, grew up in New Jersey and works as a vocal coach in South Carolina.

Still competing on the show are Jessica Sanchez, Skylar Laine, Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips and Hollie Cavanagh.

Ryan Seacrest is the host of "Idol." The judges are Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson.

GEORGE JONES: Ailing U.S. country music star George Jones is "doing much better" but canceled performances through May 20 so he can focus on his recovery, his Web site said.

Jones, 80, has been recuperating from an upper respiratory infection at his home in Franklin, Tenn., for more than a week. He canceled concerts scheduled for last weekend, then announced Thursday he is postponing nine more shows.

"Although, George is doing much better, doctors are ordering mandatory recovery time forcing all tour dates through May 20, including the entire Canadian run to be postponed," said a message posted on his Web site.


SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR: Sarah Michelle Gellar is pregnant with her second child, a friend of the U.S. actress told UsMagazine.com Thursday.

Gellar, 35, married 36-year-old actor Freddie Prinze Jr., in September 2002. They are the parents of a 2-year-old daughter named Charlotte.

"She and Freddie are thrilled," the source said of the baby news. "They're amazing parents."

The child's gender and anticipated birth date were not reported.

Gellar is best known for her work in TV's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Ringer." She and Prinze co-starred together in the films "I Know What You Did Last Summer," "Scooby-Doo" and "Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed."
