NEW YORK, April 15 (UPI) -- U.S. rocker Courtney Love was on Twitter again trying to reconcile with daughter Frances Bean Cobain, whom she earlier claimed had been "hit on" by Dave Grohl.

Love took to Twitter this past week, accusing Dave Grohl, her late husband Kurt Cobain's drummer in Nirvana, of coming on to her daughter, The Hollywood Reporter said.

"I hear from frannies roommate that @davegrohl hit on frances," Love posted on Twitter Thursday. "And that she was curious, I'm not mad at her, him I am about to shoot, dead."

Frances, 19, who is engaged to Isaiah Silva of the rock band the Rambles, denied the accusations the same day.

"While I'm generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I'm in a monogamous relationship and very happy."

The 43-year-old Grohl, married with two children and the leader of Foo Fighters, also denied the rumors.

"Unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant," Grohl said. "These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue."

Love says she regrets spreading the rumor, People.com reported.

"Bean, sorry I believed the gossip," Love tweeted Saturday. "Mommy loves you.
