WASHOUGAL, Wash., March 25 (UPI) -- A semi trailer rolled over on a Washington state highway and collided with "Fight Club" author Chuck Palahniuk's car, police said.
The incident happened Friday morning on SR 14, near milepost 22, in front of Palahniuk's Washougal home, KGW-TV, Portland, Ore., reported.
Palahniuk was in his car, parked in a driveway on the north side of the highway.
The semi's driver took a curve too fast, tipping his trailer. The trailer slid toward Palahniuk's car and struck the side of it before coming to rest blocking the westbound lanes, a Washington State Patrol incident report said.
Palahniuk said he had a sore neck after the crash, the report said. He was not taken to the hospital.
The driver of the semi was not injured and was ticketed for speeding.
The car and the trailer were totaled.
