WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., March 24 (UPI) -- Kris Jenner said her daughter Kim Kardashian acted "professionally and with such poise" after a fan pelted her with flour on a West Hollywood red carpet.

Kardashian, 31, was on the red carpet Thursday at The London Hotel for the launch of her new perfume, True Reflection, when a woman, whose name was not reported, allegedly threw a flour bomb, People magazine reported Friday.

Jenner was just feet away at the time of the incident.

"I am so proud of my daughter for handling this situation so professionally and with such poise!" Jenner wrote on Celebuzz.com. "Kim wasn't phased (sic) by the attack and simply walked away from the red carpet, brushed herself off and headed right back out!!"

The woman was detained at the scene and later released, People said. Kardashian told Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies she didn't plan to press charges.
