Jolie 'didn't pay attention' to leg jokes

LOS ANGELES, March 24 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Angelina Jolie said she "didn't pay attention" to all the jokes aimed at the way she posed her bare leg on Oscar night.

Jolie's pose at the Los Angeles award show -- her right leg jutting out from a long slit in a black Versace gown -- generated Internet memes and even its own Twitter handle. Internet users called it "Jolie-ing," superimposing her leg on famous images such as Leonardo da Vinci's "Virtruvian Man," The Huffington Post reported Friday.

But Jolie told the Post she didn't think too much about it.

"I honestly didn't pay attention to it. You know what I mean? I don't watch those TV shows and if I go online and see something about myself, I don't click on it. And the people I surround myself with don't really talk about that kind of stuff. I heard something, but I didn't pay any attention. It's as simple as being a woman picking a dress you like and having a night, and not really thinking about anything else," she said.
