SUN VALLEY, Idaho, March 11 (UPI) -- The 18-year-old son of Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger was hospitalized in Sun Valley, Idaho, tweeting he had a "little ski accident."

Patrick Schwarzenegger Saturday was transported to a local hospital on a stretcher wearing a breathing mask. It is unclear exactly where he was skiing, if he was alone when the incident occurred, who called for help and the name of the hospital where he was taken.

Schwarzenegger posted pictures of himself being transported along with a photo of his lower back area showing a bloody, deep gash. He tweeted his followers alerting them to the event, the New York Daily News reported.

"Little ski accident today. Some bruises and stiches [sic] down back and but. [sic] Thanks to sun valley [sic] doctors for everything," Schwarzenegger tweeted.

In 2011 Patrick's 14-year-old brother, Christopher was hospitalized after a body boarding accident in Malibu, Calif.
