NEW YORK, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Snooki, Julianne Moore and Christina Aguilera were among the worst-dressed celebrities of 2011, American fashion critic Roger Stone has declared.

Stone posted his fifth annual Best and Worst Dressed lists on his STONEzone Web site Monday.

"For nearly 50 years Mr. Blackwell of Hollywood sat as an arbiter of fashion by publishing a yearly list of the 10 Best and Worst Dressed People in the Demi-monde," Stone noted in a news release, adding he revived this "hallowed tradition" four years ago and now "vigilantly watches" the world of entertainment, sports, politics, academia, art and fashion to determine who has style and who doesn't.

Independent filmmaker Michael Moore was high on Stone's list of the Worst Dressed Men of 2011.

Also mentioned were TV personalities Larry King and Simon Cowell, wrestler-actor-politician Jesse Ventura, and U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York.

Topping the Best Dressed Men's list is actor Joseph Gordon Levitt. Making the roster as well are Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, CNBC talk show host Larry Kudlow, businessman Gordon Woodrow, Britain's Prince Philip, fashion designer Alan Flusser, actor Johnny Depp, lawyer Jacob Stein, soccer star David Beckham, NBC "Dateline" reporter Josh Mankiewicz and former U.S. President Bill Clinton.

Actress Natalie Portman headed up the Best Dressed Women's list.

Also making the grade were British Prince William's sister-in-law, Pippa Middleton, actresses Jennifer Aniston, Blake Lively, Sophia Loren, Eva Mendez, Sofia Vergara and Emma Watson, French first lady Carla Bruni and model Carly Foulkes, Stone said.

Blackwell, a renowned fashion designer and critic, died in 2008 at age 86.
