JODIE FOSTER: Jodie Foster's estranged father Lucius has been sentenced in a Los Angeles court to five years in jail, People.com said Friday.
The 89-year-old building contractor was convicted this week of grand theft and contracting without a license.
He was found guilty of swindling $130,000 from poor and elderly people in a home-building scam, and faced as much as 25 years in prison at sentencing.
Foster, who divorced Jodie's mother before the actress was born, told TV's "Inside Edition" he did not steal the investors' money and blamed the bad economy for the charges against him.
LINDSAY LOHAN: Editors at Playboy magazine are upset images from a photo shoot of Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan have been leaked on the Internet, TMZ said Friday.
The pictorial features Lohan paying homage to late screen icon Marilyn Monroe.
TMZ said Playboy executives are "freaking out" because they fear the leaked images might damage sales of the magazine, which paid the "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls" star $1 million to pose for its layout.
The issue, due out next week, is expected to be the magazine's best-selling copy of 2011, the entertainment news Web site said.
Lohan, 25, is on the comeback trail after years of drug addiction and legal troubles stalled her once-bright acting career.
ADELE: British soul singer Adele, who is recovering from throat surgery, says she doesn't plan to release a new album for two or three years.
The 23-year-old recording star made the comment in an e-mail interview to Billboard magazine, which deemed her the No. 1 artist of 2011.
"I'm really looking forward to some time to do nothing," she told the publication. "I imagine I'll be 25 or 26 by the time my next record comes out, as I haven't even thought about my third record yet. I'm just gonna lay some concrete, set up home and just 'be' for a bit. I'll disappear and come back with a record when it's good enough. There will be no new music until it's good enough and until I'm ready."
Adele said she hopes to be back on stage performing by February, The Daily Telegraph said.
COLDPLAY: British rockers Coldplay say they will kick off their first North American tour in nearly three years this spring.
The series of U.S. and Canadian dates is to begin April 17 at Rexall Place in Edmonton. The run also will include a two-night stand at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl May 1-2.
The band is touring in support of its blockbuster CD "Mylo Xyloto."
"Coldplay New Year's Eve: An Austin City Limits Special" is to air on PBS stations Dec. 31.
