Lohan's dad charged with domestic violence

TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Michael Lohan, father of actress Lindsay Lohan, was ordered held Wednesday on $5,000 bail in Tampa, Fla., on charges of domestic violence.

Lohan was arrested early Tuesday morning after a fight with a former girlfriend who has a restraining order against him, WTSP-TV, St. Petersburg, Fla., said.

Police say Lohan grabbed Kathryn Major, 28, and pushed her down multiple times during a daylong argument at her home in Tampa. Major said she has had Lohan arrested multiple times for domestic violence.

A Tampa judge ordered Lohan to remain in jail until 6 p.m. EDT Wednesday and ordered him to stay away from Major.
