REESE WITHERSPOON: Reese Witherspoon has decided not to press charges against the woman who hit her with a car this week, a source close to the U.S. actress told UsMagazine.com.

The "Walk the Line" Oscar winner was treated for minor injuries after the incident, which happened Wednesday when an 84-year-old woman struck Witherspoon with her car while the actress was jogging in Santa Monica, Calif.

"The incident is being treated as an accident," the insider -- whose name was not reported -- told UsMagazine.com. "The driver was not given an alcohol test at the accident scene and typically she would receive a fine and a point on her driving license as it is considered a moving violation."

SHAKIRA: Colombian pop star Shakira is in talks to perform at the Juarez Competitiva festival in Mexico, officials said.

Juan Ubaldo Benavente, Chihuahua state's subsecretary of economy in the northern region, told the El Paso (Texas) Times Shakira will take the stage Oct. 12 if negotiations go well.

"Since we've already set the date apart, it's only a matter of time before we sign the contract," Benavente said. "We wanted an artist that had a social concern, and she's willing to cooperate in moving this city forward."

"She's the one that seems the most feasible and the most interested," Juarez Competitiva spokeswoman Jezavel Fernandez told the newspaper.

Set to run through Oct. 28, the festival is being organized to help improve Juarez's image in light of rampant gang violence and drug crimes.

ALI LOHAN: Ali Lohan's publicist says the 17-year-old American model has not undergone plastic surgery on her face, despite her drastic new appearance.

Lohan is the younger sister of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan.

"Aliana has never had any type of plastic surgery in her life, nor has she ever considered it," her representative Steve Honig told People.com in a statement Friday. "Her success as a model lies with her natural looks and she has no interest in changing that. During the past two years, she has gone through a normal teenage growth spurt that has made her taller and slimmer."

Honig called Ali's more chiseled facial features "typical of what happens to kids in their mid- to late teens."

"It's what most people refer to as the awkward stage. Ali is growing up; that's all," he said.

"As a young girl who is growing up, it's natural for her facial features to change slightly, and we see this with many of the younger models we represent," agreed Alexis Borges, agency director of Next Model Management in Los Angeles. "Aliana is a beautiful 17-year-old girl who is growing into her face and body, as is the norm for someone of her age."

THE GOLDEN GLOBES: The 69th annual Golden Globe Awards show will take place Jan. 15, 2012, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association said Friday.

Produced by dick clark productions in association with the HFPA, the ceremony is to take place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The show, which honors the previous year's best in television and film, is to be broadcast on NBC.

The 2011 Golden Globe Awards ceremony was watched by 17 million viewers.
