LONDON, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- A representative for Britain's Prince William and his wife Kate said the royal newlyweds aren't expecting twins, contrary to tabloid reports claiming they are.

The publicist told UsMagazine.com Kate is not, in fact, pregnant at all.

"Suffice to say that were it true, it would be us that announces it, not a gossip magazine," the representative said Wednesday.

William and Kate married last April in London after about eight years of dating.
